5 Tips for Organic Growth on Social Media

Can businesses still grow organically in the world of paid advertising and influencer marketing? We think so!

How many times have you been told that the only way to grow online is "X"? Whether it's TikTok, Google Ads, or the latest and greatest SEO company bombarding your inbox...there's always someone waiting to tell you why the next best thing is just what you need.

At PJH Creative Studio, we believe in consistency and community. We believe that showing up online in a genuine way will create and nurture an audience of REAL people who care about your business (and not just what's cool and trendy this week).

Ready for some quick tips on how to succeed in the ever changing digital landscape?

Create a Schedule and Stick To It

“Social media is not a media. The key is to listen, engage, and build relationships.” - David Alston

There are many different social media scheduling platforms you can use nowadays, and Facebook/Instagram has even created one within their platform! Commit to posting 1, 3, or 5 times per week and stick to it. Plan ahead, and think like your consumer. What would you like to see on a business' page?

Get Out Of Your Head

Don't get stuck thinking of the absolute perfect quippy caption, or trying to fit as much information about your business as possible in one post. Show people what's really going on at your business...What excites you about what you do? What do your employees enjoy most about showing up for work? Who is really serving them?

Try A Trend This Week

By not tweeting you’re tweeting. You’re sending a message.” - Anonymous

We don't believe in jumping on every bandwagon just because it's what's new and cool BUT there are many benefits to throwing your hat into the ring every now and then. Are you intimidated by things like TikTok or Instagram Reels? Whatever platform or trend scares you, consider taking a chance and trying it out, even just one time. Don't know where to start? Ask a friend (or a Gen z relative, trust us!) and see what simple actions can do to expand your reach.

Learn From Other Businesses

Find inspiration from other local businesses like yours that are doing it right! Don't copy, but draw inspiration from what they do and see how you can use it similarly but with your own fresh take.

Don't Give Up!

Social media is constantly changing. Don't be afraid to ask for help and don't worry about looking silly. We are all learning together, and there's no one who knows more about your business than YOU!
